Our Teachers
When it comes to choosing our teachers we look for three things - Skill, experience and personality. We look for teachers who are trained to degree level in ceramics and only make exceptions where their skill and experience warrant it. We love beginners as students but not as teachers! As well as extensive experience in their own artistic practice it’s equally important that our teachers are able to share their skills.
We value teachers who know how to explain techniques clearly whether it’s to an advanced student looking to progress or someone who’s touching clay for the first time.
Our teachers build an environment where students can progress, experiment, fail and feel safe doing so. People come to us for a variety of reasons. Some want to deepen there pottery practice others want a creative outlet, to learn something new, make friends or as a form of therapy. We pride ourselves on being able to cater from beginner to advanced students and it’s important to us that our teachers are as warm and friendly as our studio.
